چکیده

Abstract
Popliteal artery occlusion is a rare vascular complication after blunt knee trauma and may lead to limb loss if diagnosis delayed. Development of collateral pathways misguide the surgeon in planning surgeries for defect reconstruction. We report case patient with popliteal resulting from dislocation fall height, which developed anteromedial ankle following orthopedic surgery. After reconstruction free flap, ischemia was observed foot arteriography confirmed well-developed arteries. The underwent femoro-popliteal bypass surgery salvation. At end recovery time, reconstructed cross leg flap

Death After Closed Adolescent Knee Injury and Popliteal Artery Occlusion

A healthy adolescent male soccer player sustained a radiograph-negative, effusion-negative physeal injury of the proximal tibia from a ground-level fall with traumatic occlusion of the popliteal artery. Orthopaedic evaluation and arteriography were delayed for 72 hours after the injury. He arrived at a tertiary referral center in multisystem organ failure secondary to lower extremity ischemic n...

Case report: Bilateral Popliteal Artery Thrombosis from Traumatic Knee Dislocation

Knee dislocations are a relatively uncommon occurrence in the trauma patient. However, sequelae may be disastrous if this condition and its complications are not recognized early. Perhaps the most significant complication is popliteal artery injury, occurring in 10-32% of knee dislocations (1). This frequent complication can result in amputation (3,6,16). Popliteal artery injury from knee dislo...

Acute Popliteal Artery Occlusion after Revision Total Knee Arthroplasty

Acute arterial occlusions are a rare complication of total knee arthroplasty (TKA). However, in revision TKA, the risk of such complications is higher and these complications can lead to amputation if not adequately treated. We describe a case of acute popliteal artery occlusion 4 hours after second revision TKA in a patient with a history of several surgical procedures because of periprostheti...

We report the case of a 7-year-old girl with bilateral knee stiffness, marked anterior bowing of both legs, and inability to walk without aid. Radiologic investigation revealed bilateral knee joint dislocation accompanied by severe anterior bowing of both tibia proximally and posterior bowing of both femur distally, demonstrating ...

Delayed Diagnosis of a Popliteal Artery Rupture after a Posteromedial Tibia Plateau Fracture-Dislocation Case Report

Vascular injury in closed tibial plateau fractures is sometimes diffi cult to diagnose because radiological examination might reveal only minor disengagement of the tibial plateaus and a coexistant compartment syndrome may overlap the clinical signs.1,2,8,9 This article presents a case of a medial split fracture-dislocation with an associate rupture of the popliteal artery that went undiagnosed...
